One, Two, Three

by: Brian North photo by: Stephanie Ringleb Photography Have you ever been talking with a friend, they suggest some music, a book, a show, or a podcast, that’s seemingly out of the blue, and you mark the suggestion and move on with your day? Then, a day or two later you are watching TV, or reading an email, and the same music, book, show, or podcast is mentioned again? You look up to the sky as if an acorn has hit you on the head for the second time in a week and think, “How am I just hearing about this, and what does this mean?” I have a saying: one time is an anomaly and two times is a pattern. When things happen twice, I listen. Are you wondering about your purpose? Are you wishing into your life a relationship (or wishing out of one)? Are you seeking happiness, ease, or love? Ask, and ask out loud. Write about it, tell people about it, close your eyes and visualize it regularly. 5-10 minutes a day is all it takes. Remember though, when you speak about it, you speak about it with conviction. You don’t joke, laugh, or speak in terms of might, hopefully, or maybe. You speak it as if “it’s going to happen,” or “has already happened.” Then listen. Listen for the patterns (two times). Then go all in. Go listen to that music, read that book, watch that show, or listen to that podcast. It’s for you. It’s to fulfill that wish, I promise. Most of us have heard of the law of attraction. I feel there’s some confusion about the idea that you think it, and then it becomes. I believe that all of our opportunities are already there, we’re just not focused on them and they pass us by daily until we focus the lens. When we tune in, turn up the volume, and focus the binoculars by way of thinking, writing, and speaking, those opportunities simply come into focus for our greatness to become a reality.
